One piece of information that came out of the blue is the full Mortal Kombat 11 Achievement and Trophy list , which may seem easier to some than past entries due to it only having 2 online trophies.
The bulk of these is also dedicated to getting 2 fatalities for each character, with D'Vorah, Kitana, Noob Saibot, and more all appearing on this list. Notably, however, one character gets an additional trophy that suggests she could receive an Animality.
For those not in the know, an Animality is a special Fatality that turns the player into an animal to maul the opponent. It first originated in Mortal Kombat 3 and has only appeared a few times since, but with Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon recently teasing the return of Babalities , this feature seems all but confirmed by this leaked list.
It's also worth adding that these previous entries often required players to give a Mercy before performing, which are also returning according to this leak.
The trophy is titled "Total Disrespect" and requires players to defeat an opponent as Bug-Vorah, an obvious play on words of D'Vorah. There are several reasons that D'Vorah could be getting the Mortal Kombat 11 special trophy.
These humorous finishers came about due to the reaction to all of the attention that Mortal Kombat 1's Fatalities received. As if Friendships weren't humiliating enough, players were also given access to Babalities -- and yes, they are exactly what they sound like. Instead of obliterating your opponent with a gory killer blow, you would transform them into a small infant version of themselves, complete with crying. According to Boon, these strange, but humorous techniques were thought up by Mortal Kombat's sound designer, Dan Forden.
While searching through sound effects CDs for bites to work with, Forden came across a track with babies crying. After coming to Boon with the idea of transforming characters into babies as a finishing move -- mainly because it would be funny to do so -- Babalities were born no pun intended. But perhaps the most interesting origin story of all the "-alities" was the Animality. Back in the Mortal Kombat 2 days, a rumor began circulating that you could transform into an animal and finish the opponent.
Unfortunately, some of these finisher types didn't make it past MK3. According to Vogel, it was too difficult a process to transform characters into something else in a 3D environment. Tournament Results. Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition. Dragon Ball FighterZ. Super Smash Bros.
